Hyundai's own customer-facing robot, distinct from its Boston Dynamics ownership.
It's easy to assume Hyundai's humanoid ambitions begin and end with its ownership of Boston Dynamics, but DAL-e is Hyundai's own in-house project — a front-of-house robot for showrooms and public spaces rather than an industrial platform.
It's a smaller bet than Atlas, but a telling one: Hyundai is investing in humanoid robotics at multiple levels of its business simultaneously, not just through its Boston Dynamics subsidiary.
