An open research-oriented humanoid platform aimed at labs that don't want to build hardware from scratch.
Not every humanoid is built to be sold into a warehouse. Themis is positioned as a research platform — hardware that university and industry labs can build control software on top of without designing an entire robot first.
Platforms like this matter more than their name recognition suggests: a lot of the control and RL research that eventually reaches commercial robots gets prototyped on accessible research platforms like Themis first.
